Varsity XC - Update from Coach Pierce
I hope this finds everyone in good health and spirit. Thank you for expressing interest in the Eno River Academy Cross-Country program. We are looking forward to a great season. My name is Michael Pierce. I am a USA Track and Field Level 1 Coach and completed the USA Track and Field Cross-Country Specialist Course. I still run nearly every day and I have a great passion for the sport. Assisting me this year is Deb Vacca. Ms. Vacca is an ERA parent and an experienced runner who is going to be a great asset to our program. I am happy to have her helping this year, and I know everyone will make her feel welcomed!
Eno River Academy’s Cross-Country team is building on the strengths of last season, represented by a diverse, enthusiastic, and committed group of young men and women in record number this season.
In accordance with the North Carolina State Athletic Association, we will not hold any structured workouts until we receive proper authorization. The safety of everyone at Eno River Academy is our top priority. Once we are notified that we may resume workouts, I will contact everyone by email. Summer skill sessions will be held twice a week on Tuesday and Thursdays with a long run once every two weeks held on Saturdays. I will post each week the location and time of each session. These runs are NOT mandatory.
Our first official practice is Monday, Aug 3rd from 8-10am. Please have all the proper paperwork turned into Ms. Hartingh by this date. If you have any questions about this please contact me.
Parent meeting will be held on Aug 5th at the conclusion of Open House.
If you are new to Cross-Country, please send me your contact information so I can add your email to my roster. Should you have any questions about Cross-Country please feel free to contact me through e-mail email@example.com or by phone (336) 504-7139.
