How to Register for sports....
Neuse Charter MS and HS Athletics
For MS and HS students to participate in athletics, they need to be registered in 8 to 18. The web address is nc.8to18.com/Neuse. When you go to the website, click the tab that says “registration” from the toolbar. You will need to create a log-in. This is specific to the parent. This area is where you will enter your phone number, email addresses, and mailing address to be used for communication purposes and in case of an emergency. After this portion has been completed, you can click the button that allows you to sign the student up for tryouts.
Communication from coaches. Please make sure that you enter the email address that you want to receive information from the coaches and staff. Coaches use the email connection in 8 to 18 to send practice schedules, games changes, and to organize transportation, etc.
The forms needed for athletics are attached as a link at the bottom right of the home page. You will also find links to NCHSAA, camps, and other important information here. Please use the link to sign up for REmind101 (a text alert system) that will send out any last minutes changes to games and practice due to weather etc.
Tryouts dates and times vary depending on the season. For a student to be eligible to try out the following things are needed:
Registration completed in 8 to 18
a current valid sports physical (front filled out by parent and back signed and completed by a doctor) turned in to the athletic department.
A printed copy of the concussion form signed by parent and student turned in to the athletic department.
The student must be academically eligible, and pick up a tryout ticket from the Athletic Director.
The student must be enrolled as a full-time student.
We look forward to your student participating in athletics at Neuse Charter School. Should you have any questions, contact email@example.com
